WASHINGTON — As Eastern European nations look to guard against the ever-growing threat from unmanned systems, a US Army contingent on the continent recently evaluated a host of industry counter-unmanned system offerings, choosing a handful of winners to join a fast-track acquisition system, while other US soldiers drilled with allied nations to refine c-UAS tactics.

MatrixSpace has been selected as the active sensor winner in the United States Army’s xTechCounter Strike competition, part of Operation FlyTrap 4.5. The company demonstrated its Expeditionary AI Radar and 360 AI Radar, powered by AiEdge software. The systems are designed for fast setup and can be integrated into Army FAAD-C2 via the NATO-standard SAPIENT protocol. The radars provide detection and classification for airspace, perimeter and object monitoring.
