Aerospace and defence engineering firm Legionnaire International, in conjunction with its partners MatrixSpace, Sixdof Space and Target Arm, has been selected for a USD 3.19 million contract by AFWERX.
Aerial refueling refers to transferring aviation fuel from one tanker aircraft to the receiver aircraft while both are in flight. This allows the receiving aircraft to extend its range and stay in the air for longer periods.
