Field Systems Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Liaise between the radar design team and sophisticated customers and partners.
• Understand customer expectations and requirements of their use cases.
• Lead customer-facing demonstrations of MatrixSpace’s portable radar systems.
• Train customer personnel in the setup, configuration and use of the available system solutions.
• Optimize system configurations for difficult customer applications.
• Field test new features to ensure performance and verification of customer expectations.
• Test, verify, and document improvements and features to consistently deliver exceptional products.
• Work closely with technical sales and marketing to prioritize, plan for, and deliver customer success.
Skills:
• Experience in radio systems at mmWave frequencies. Must thoroughly understand and have experience in RF systems and implantation of these systems in real world environments.
• Demonstrated hands-on debugging skills using test equipment (spectrum and network analyzer, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills working with customers, management, and engineering and non-technical functions.
• Demonstrated success in technical problem-solving skills, and leadership of solving these systemically across an organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in RF circuits and systems with strong debug knowledge.
• 50% testing in field work with drones and aircraft.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
• Willing to travel, up to 20%.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government, which requires U.S. citizenship.
• This position is on-site at our Hoffman Estates, Illinois facility
